Ricky Chavez is a Mexican-American director and cinematographer based in Los Angeles. With a background in jazz and instrumental music performance, he specializes in capturing music with an engaging and cinematic style. Chavez has worked with top names in music, television, and commercial industries. His expertise in music capture earned him a Grammy nomination as a recording engineer. He has also won awards as a cinematographer. Chavez is an advocate for education, equality, and giving back to underserved communities.​​
