Synopsis

A woman walks slowly through a dark, untouched forest. She is following someone in the distance, someone she can’t quite make out. Or is the other actually following her? Too late, the woman regrets a desperate attempt to escape her pursuer. As she starts to understand and approaches the point of no return, she is lured into making a dire decision.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR â€‹â€‹

Educated as a dancer in Sweden, Switzerland and The Netherlands, Nicola Hepp obtained her Master in Choreography and New Media at the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in 2006.

Between 2003 and 2016, her performances frequently involved video and projections juxtaposed with live movement. Since creating her first short film, Echo (2014), her focus shifted towards dance film and choreography for camera.

Nicola’s choreographies and films have been shown in festivals and venues internationally and have won several awards and nominations.

Besides making her own films, she also works under commission as a choreographer and movement director for commercial ads, mood films, shorts and feature films. She founded and leads The Movers, a dance production company and agency specialising in dance for film.

Recently, an article she wrote called Choreographing the Camera was published by Videodance Studies, Valencia. Interviews with her have been published by Dans Magazine and Women Cinemakers and she has taught and lectured at institutions and festivals in Europe.
