Synopsis
After years of training, 16 year old Kiana is finally old enough to audition for her dream dance school. However, with the help of her grandmother, she realizes that she faces a debilitating issue: her skin is too dark. Desperate to advance her dreams, Kiana turns to skin whitening in an attempt to beat the odds. When Kiana witnesses her mother, Sylvia confront her traumatic past, Kiana must decide if she will let the world’s preference stop her from dancing.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR ​​

Dash Jo received her Bachelor's degree at UMASS Boston. After directing and co-producing her original stage plays, “Love Label” and “The Journey”, Dash moved to Los Angeles to pursue her Master’s in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and has directed plays, films, commercials, and vlogs. She plans to continue growing her interests in TV programming and filmmaking.
