About the Director
John Akre is an animator who lives in Louisville, KY and primarily works in stop motion. He prefers to work flat, with paper cutouts, collage, and experimental techniques to create movies that tell stories about his life and the life around him. He has also taught stop motion and digital animation to people of all ages, and hopes to take out his Sloppy Films Animation Station, a portable stop motion animation studio that fits in his bicycle trailer, to public events again in the future.
