Ordella Walker and Amy Stolee, schoolteachers from rural Minnesota, took a trip by train in 1933 that expanded their picture of the world around them. Ordella documented that trip in a scrapbook and Amy's grandson John made this movie about that scrapbook.

About the Director

John Akre is an animator who lives in Louisville, KY and primarily works in stop motion. He prefers to work flat, with paper cutouts, collage, and experimental techniques to create movies that tell stories about his life and the life around him. He has also taught stop motion and digital animation to people of all ages, and hopes to take out his Sloppy Films Animation Station, a portable stop motion animation studio that fits in his bicycle trailer, to public events again in the future.
