About the Director
Elisa Kujala is a Finnish director and screenwriter based in Stockholm. She has a BA in journalism and she also studied directing and screenwriting at London Film School. Currently, she’s doing her MA in film directing at Aalto University (Finland) and has also recently studied animation at Stockholm University of the Arts.
Elisa has worked in many different TV and film roles so far; as an editor, assistant producer, production manager, script supervisor, and assistant director among others – which has offered her an insight on how to be a versatile director. Elisa has also directed and written 8 short films and a short documentary.
Currently, Elisa is working on the pilot for her first feature film ‘Elektra’, for which she got a screenwriting grant from Arts Promotion Centre Finland. ’A Day Without Prohibition’ is Elisa’s graduation film from Aalto University.
