ABOUT THE DIRECTOR 

 

Russell is a filmmaker from Virginia. He is the screenwriter of Return to Sender, which placed in the top 10 of The 2023 Black List. He also wrote the upcoming Blumhouse feature Mother Nature, based on the graphic novel he wrote with Jamie Lee Curtis. He has played at over 100 film festivals around the world with his short film work, including Return to Sender and Closing Time.
